RESPECT

PRIVACY

We will be heading to the very far end of the beach. It's a very secluded beach and the only access is by car.  In the past 5 years we have mostly had the beach to ourselves bar the occasional dog walker in the distance.
THE WATER IS WARM!

In September sea is surprisingly warm.  For the past three years we stayed in the water for almost an hour. It even rained last year and we still stayed in! We have secured a section of the beach for the event.  It's public access so they can't close it. September is out of season so there are not many people about. Last year the response from those few people walking the coast was warm, big hearted and supportive!

COACH

Leaving from the back of Cardiff City Centre Train Station at 12PM. Ellen will be there to greet you wearing a high vis vest. She will sign you on to the coach.

CAR

There is plenty of parking at the beach.  When you register we will send you the details of where to go. Its about a 45min drive East from Cardiff.  There is a small fee of a couple of pounds for using the car park.

PICNIC

Bring a hot flask a warm toddy if you fancy and a Picnic! If the weather is good we will stay after the dip to eat, drink and make merry.

WEATHER

We will do this come rain or shine!

To make sure we look after everyone and everyone is safe we are putting a few things in place. The small registration fee is to help us out with these costs and we thank you in advance for this.
  • Event insurance
  • Heath and Safety
  • Donation to the charity that manages the beautiful beach.
  • Tea, Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Jam and Scones!

THE  BEACH

There is a small kiosk at the beach and public toilets.

There are also lots of lovely coastal walks!

Access is over some rocks and you have to cross over some pebbles before you get to the sand.  Advisable to  have shoes you can climb over a few rocks in.
