"My Body"

WHERE IS THE BEACH?
 
It's on the South Wales Coast. Once you register we will send you all the information about the exact location of the Beach.  














 
 
We head to the very far end of the beach. It's a very secluded beach. In the past 6 years we have mostly had the beach to ourselves bar the occasional dog walker in the distance. The response from those few people walking the coast was warm, big hearted and supportive!

WHAT ABOUT OUR CLOTHES!

There will be someone staying with your belongings. We congregate in a sheltered, secluded area, through the gates to the left of the car park. After a brief welcome and stretch we change in to towel/dressing gown before heading down to the beach. 

THE WATER IS WARMISH HONEST!
 
In September the sea can be surprisingly warm.  For the past 6 years we have stayed and played in the water.
 
COACH
 
Spaces are limited so book quick if you want this option. The coach leaves from and returns too the back of Cardiff City Centre Train Station. There will be someone in the carpark with the coach to greet you and sign you in.
 
DRIVING 

There is plenty of parking at the beach. The carpark is on the beach and is £5 a car.  When you register we will send you the details of where to go. It's a 45min drive East from Cardiff.  If you are driving and up for list sharing post in the THISISME facebook group.

TRAIN/TAXI

BRIDGEND is the nearest Station and its a £10 Cab fare to the beach from there.

PICNIC
 
Bring a hot flask a warm toddy if you fancy and a Picnic! If the weather is good we will stay after the dip to eat, drink and make merry. The Kiosk also sells tea and coffee and a pretty mean hot chocolate!
 
WEATHER
 
We will do this come rain or shine!

There is a small kiosk at the beach and public toilets.

Coach will leave Cardiff Central Train Station at 1pm and return by 4:30pm

COST

 
 £8  registration only

I am an individual organising a Body Positive Event.
 
At it's heart this is an event about bringing those who identify as female together and creating an empowering experience.  
​
To make sure I don't end up out of pocket the small registration fee coves these costs;​
​​​
  • Fee for the Artist taking the photo's.
  • Donation to the Glamorgan Heritage trust who keep the beaches looking so beautiful
  • Yearly domain renewal for this website which is home to the growing collection of images
  • A stamp to send your message to your future self (all will be made clear on the dip)

 

**There are usually no more than 40 dippers. On the off chance there are more dippers and thus a little more money that will go towards a Body Positive charity of your choice.
